چکیده
This paper presents the Acoustics Apps, an e-learning platform that offers interactive and playful environment for teaching learning principles of acoustics vibration. The Apps address increasing demand digitized methods, which might be suitable home schooling or as a complement to physical experiments by adding simulation. apps combine experimenting, observing, exploring using state-of-the-art scientific methods numerical simulations. ability visualize control acoustic phenomena facilitates understanding relevant principles. are designed used intuitively can tailored suit existing knowledge user. As such, wide range users benefit from this aid. It has been developed allow barrier-free access modern educational tools, requiring only device with browser Internet access. necessary computing power is provided external server COMSOL ServerTM technology. freely available academic purposes at apps.vib.mw.tum.de.

Performance Portability for Room Acoustics Simulations
Numerical modelling of the 3-D wave equation can result in very accurate virtual auralisation, at the expense of computational cost. Implementations targeting modern highly-parallel processors such as NVIDIA GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) are known to be very effective, but are tied to the specific hardware for which they are developed. In this paper, we investigate extending the portability ...

Some high-resolution direction-of-arrival DOA estimation methods, such as the MUSIC method, have been developed based on vectorsensor array. However, these high-resolution methods suffer from serious drawbacks. Indeed, they are not able to estimate coherent signals and sensitive to calibration errors. Mainly to overcome these limitations and in particular to satisfy practical engineering applic...

A new acoustic measurement signal that is a hybrid signal of time-stretched pulse TSP , or lin-TSP, and logarithmic TSP log-TSP is proposed. The signal, referred to as warped-TSP Morise et al., IEICE Trans. Fundamentals, A, J89-A 1 , 7–14 2006 , has a single parameter to adjust for better measurements in accordance with ambient noise conditions. It also provides a means to eliminate harmonic di...
متن کاملAcoustics for Amplified Music and a New, Variable Acoustics Technology
Surveys among professional musicians and sound engineers reveal that a long reverberation time at low frequencies in halls during concerts of reinforced music is a common cause for an unacceptable sounding event. Midand high-frequency sound is seldom a reason for lack of clarity and definition due to a up to 6 times higher absorption by audience compared to low frequencies, and a higher directi...
